About Blazen Thunder
Our Story
Blazen Thunder is a nonprofit organization founded in 2022 by Ra-Chel Sumlin, known as “Chel”. Chel established Blazen Thunder due to her passion for basketball and her desire to share her knowledge of the game with adolescents who share her enthusiasm. The organization comprises dedicated basketball enthusiasts who deliver a "BLAZEN" experience.

Meet Coach "Chel"
Chel is from Concord NC. She attended Concord High School where she held a record of seven consecutive 3-pointers in one game against South Rowan High School and 44 points against Central Cabarrus High School.
Chel brought her talents to Barber Scotia College, where she continued to play until an injury compelled her to cease playing.
